ALL THE NEWS THAT IS NEWS

THE FUTURE IS NOW
SANTA FE SPRINGS, CA - To set the stage as background music we need the Platters to sing their classic tune from summer 1959, Remember When. Let's go back in time to those golden days of yesteryear. Remember Sci-fi movies, books and comic magazines of the Fabulous Fifties that show space ships with passengers on outer space excursions? Sounds like pipe dreams. Houston, TX has the massive NASA facility that controls rocket ships with passengers that often take outer space voyages. In fact, the first word spoken on the moon is Houston. Remember when we glance at Sci-fi publications that show TV screens that hang on walls? We now have those large screen LCD and plasma TVs with thin cabinets that really do hang on walls. Remember when comic strips feature detective Dick Tracy and his magic wrist watch that lets him talk back and forth with police headquarters? We now have cell phones that not only serve us as telephones but we listen to music and take photos and videos of whatever our heart's desire. What on earth do we do before the arrival of cell phones? Everywhere we go we carry on conversations on our good ole cell phones. We never leave home without our precious cell phones. Is it that we now have more subjects of which to discuss? Well here comes Westinghouse with a brand new flip-style LCD HD TV with a 16" screen. We wonder what good is a flip-style LCD TV? We already have way too many expensive electronic gadgets. Just think for a moment. Do we have enough room in our tighly-spaced kitchens and garage work shops to hang 50" LCD HD TVs? PRESTO! Why not place a small flip-style LCD HD TV on one of the counter tops? If that is not enough to boggle our minds, Westinghouse says that when the TV is not in use, we display digital images just like on digital picture frames. This hot new item has a built-in tuner, built-in speakers, lightweight and portable construction, PC input and stainless-steel finish. Is this another of those gotta have it items? We'll see. The Westinghouse model PT-16H610S flip-style 16-inch LCD TV has a suggested retail price of $349. The future is now.

From an observer in Denmark: "We here in Denmark can not understand why you are even bothering to hold an election. On one side you have a b**** who is a lawyer who is married to a lawyer, and a lawyer who is married to a lawyer who is a b****. On the other side, you have a true war hero who is married to a woman...who owns a beer distributorship. Is there a contest here?" Bob
